Supplier Problem Management:

-Containment:  at the supplier, in stores, in transit, at receiving, your material stores , WIP, FG in house, in transit, at customer locations, with the consumer.

-Root Cause Discovery:  use the right tools for the problem.  This could mean the use of 6 Sigma or Red X or something more simplified.

-Corrective Actions and Implementation:   Extra care needs to be taken to implement real corrective actions and not accept sorting or gaging activities as a permanent solution.
